Can we talk about the BCS?

I know you've already heard it from everywhere else but there needs to be a new college football system. But doesn't the USC Penn State shellacking make you want to see a playoff even more? I'm looking forward to Oklahoma and Florida, because I think that they are among the top 3 or four teams in the country, but wouldn't it be amazing to see USC play either of those teams? How many times does a stupid insignificant loss to Stanford, or Oregon St. or UCLA have to keep USC out of the national championship. I have a solution. Let's just give the professional football team that is the USC Trojans a regular season bye, and just insert them permanently into the Rose Bowl.  

Who Let John Clayton on Television?

Let me start by saying that John Clayton, ESPN's NFL Insider, is a great source for insider information. But isn't there some way to get that information without having to look at John for 2 minutes? It's becoming harder and harder to stay watching Sportscenter when I'm getting my news from a new born Benjamin Button. Honestly, the man looks like somebody left Silly Putty on a hot light bulb. There are plenty of jobs in the sports information industry, and not all of them are in front of the camera. Just something to maybe think about, John.
